TRM Labs Partners with Canton Network to Strengthen Risk Management on Privacy-enabled Networks

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – March 27, 2025 – TRM Labs, the leading provider of blockchain intelligence solutions, today announced its connection to the Global Synchronizer, the infrastructure backbone of the Canton Network that enables seamless interoperability across the financial ecosystem. TRM will be a Supporting Validator on the Canton Network, and will provide on-chain AML monitoring of Canton Coin and USDC.

As the demand grows for tokenized financial products like stablecoins, so does the need for crypto assets that keep transactions visible only to authorized parties. The Global Synchronizer represents a breakthrough in blockchain interoperability, providing the privacy and controls essential for regulated financial institutions while enabling frictionless exchange of assets.

TRM’s connection to the Global Synchronizer represents another step towards balancing effective compliance with respect for privacy. As a Supporting Validator, TRM brings industry-leading blockchain intelligence to provide on-chain AML monitoring for Canton Coin and USDC, and joins the Global Synchronizer Foundation as a General Member.

“Financial institutions embracing tokenization are seeking solutions that support both on-chain privacy and compliance,” said Esteban Castaño, CEO and co-founder of TRM Labs. “Our partnership with the Canton Network represents a blueprint for the future: programmable privacy with built-in compliance. TRM is proud to help shape that future by enabling AML/CFT controls on privacy-enabled networks.”

“The Canton Network is strategically positioned at the intersection of the crypto-native and traditional finance worlds, combining the global utility of blockchain with robust privacy controls. This allows for sensitive data protection while ensuring regulatory visibility for authorized parties. We are very pleased to have TRM Labs joining the Canton Network. We believe in providing the tools for issuers and operators to define their own compliance parameters rather than imposing network-level restrictions,” said Eric Saraniecki, Co-Founder and Head of Network Strategy.
